A Lumbering Task

To My Dearest Ebbie,

The other day I was instructed by our squad captain to gather lumber during our patrol in Ocher Forest. My mates and I spread out to search for the resource and eventually I went solo. I think I went quite far as the camp I left behind looked like a tiny ant from where I was standing. These Ocher Forest Brownwoods are ancient trees that are probably even older than the Dragons themselves! The government has even issued a mandate to ban the cutting of Ocher Forest Brownwoods, to maintain the forest ecosystem.

Our main mission was to root out these illegal lumberjacks who have been hired by Paris herself to cut down all these trees to make way for something big. It may sound ironic, but we were told to gather lumber to create tree forts. I guess it's better than being rooted to the ground eh? There were many of these illegal loggers, attacking us with their sophisticated cutting tools upon sight.

They somehow attacked one of our outposts and took control of it, and we did a quick sweep of the area, to rid the outpost of lumberjacks. Once we took control of the outpost, we then set off to gather more lumber to repair the said outpost. There have been reports of a 'Yakult King' and its impostors roaming the forest in search of Dragonian Expediters who may be unfortunate enough to cross its path.

Yet, when I accidentally fell of this canopy, I landed into this small clearing and of all the luck, the Yakult King, Elluman was in front of me with his minions! I had no choice but to draw my trusty broom and attack these fiendish creatures.

I was able to clear most of his lackeys, but Elluman seemed as if he wouldn't fall so easily. I knew I had to bring out the big guns so I summoned by "super saiyan" strength to defeat him.

The moment I did that, he flinched a bit. He was probably afraid of my flaming aura, as Elluman is made of wood. With that one moment he flinched, I immediately seized the opportunity to launch a counter attack on the Yakult King. I swear, it was as if my strength was going over nine thousand!

When I finally defeated him, I was surprised as a puff of smoke enveloped the monster and it reverted into a poor Woodie! This Woodie must have been a victim of black magic of some sort. I examined the Woodie to see if it was still breathing, but all it did was it looked at me, smiled, and closed its eyes.

It died.

I felt a bit sad that it died, as this Woodie was another victim of black magic. And that black magic corrupted and twisted it to an extent that it turned into something horrible. When I returned to camp, my mates said that they encountered Yakult Kings as well, but the couldn't find the real Elluman, who is apparently the most intelligent of all the Yakult Kings.

You're headed for the Pinecone Knoll, Ebbie? There have been reports that the Lumberjack Foreman, Karlberg has been spotted there! Adventurers are headed there this instant to put a stop to his logging operations.

Stay safe Ebbie, and watch out for those lumberjacks!

From Your Dear Brother,
Prawnt

P.S. Surely you would need this right? I know you've been getting stronger so you deserve this. That impostor Elluman dropped it.

Some Nosy Reporters

To My Dearest Ebbie,

A strange letter appeared in my mailbox the other day. Amongst the usual myriad of letters you stuff into my mail, I found something unique. It was different from your Woodie-scented letters, and it looked kinda professional, as it was written in brown paper. The text was also typewritten, and it read, "We're from the Dragonica Dose! If you have the time, we'd like to interview you! Meet us at Mystia Lane in Odellia if you're interested. Thank you!". The Dragonica Dose? Was that some kind of medicine or some kind of newspaper? I only read The Libra Times and the Daily Odellia. Whatever it was, I first thought this might be some kind of scam, so off I went to Mystia Lane in Odellia.

Upon arriving, I was already being followed by several newbies staring at my glossy armor, and even a few wide-eyed warriors who are probably aspiring to become like me. It felt good Ebbie. However, something was not right. Among these newbies that came and went, two people approached me, a magician and a thief. (Though in reality, they're a warmage and a ninja in newbie clothing.) They seemed elated to see me and grabbed me immediately.

The two introduced themselves as reporters for the Dragonica Dose. Mizureii, a loli-face and her sidekick, Dobby who looked pretty abused by her. After settling down a bit, they asked me the most outrageous questions. Believe me Ebbie, you don't wanna know what they asked me. It'd be too much for your fragile and innocent mind. They also asked about what happened to Toby. The truth is, I released him into the Ocher Forest several days earlier, and he left me a few feathers to remember him by. Toby needed to grow so I had to release him.

Dobby wanted to date you. I showed him a thing or two by hitting him with my sword's hilt. No one gets close to my sister but me! Am I being overprotective Ebbie? Just party with your gal pals, and never party with any guy without my permission. Dad's too old to keep an eye on you so he instructed me to do that.

Out of the two, Mizureii was the nosiest asking all these yaoi-related questions even to the point of inspecting my butt to see if it was "Uke enough". As for Dobby, Mizureii forced me to kiss him. Well I was surprised at first but I had grown almost used to it because of the countless times Irichi forced me to kiss the other guys by "accident". (I gulped a whole bottle of beer after that.)

There was also one part after that kiss when Mizureii was forcing Dobby to "date" me. Ugh, that interview was really tense on my part.

It makes me wonder how they found out about my letters when I send them to your mailbox privately. Perhaps they intercept couriers and mailmen to get "the scoop" huh? I'll never know how they do it, but these journalists have their ways. If I had to rate their magazine along the Libra Times among others, they'd fit perfectly in the "Gossip & Entertainment" section.

After the interview, we had a little courtesy picture, for keeps. Really, Mizureii is a loli-face. You know how I like loli Ebbie. They're my second favorite. The first? I'll tell you the next time we meet. (It has something to do with tentacles. ;D )

With that, I advise you to keep watch of your letters, as these nosy reporters may come after you as well.

Stay safe, be always alert!

From Your Dear Brother,
Prawnt

Visiting Vella

To My Dearest Ebbie,

Yesterday Ceaz and I went into the Faeras Swamplands to do a little bit of exploring. Ceaz was looking for snail shells to collect, while I was instructed by my commanding officer to scout the area for Queen Vella's movements. It would be troublesome if we had encountered Vella during our scouting run, right? After all, there were only two of us. After two hours of trekking, we eventually found ourselves in a deep part of the swamp. Armored snails were now patrolling the area and we engaged some of their squads to decrease their numbers a bit.

Though they were armored, they could easily be defeated by knocking them over and hitting their underside. It was quite fun, to be honest. These were Queen Vella's minions anyway. After engaging a few more of their patrols, we accidentally found Queen Vella and her entourage! This wasp queen looked rather angry as she raised her staff and ordered her minions to attack us by buzzing her wings.

We got into quite a brawl, I tried to distract Vella by provoking her to come after me, while Ceaz went after the lackeys to dwindle down their numbers. Ebbie, you've been to the swamps right? Have you noticed how diverse her minions are? You've got these wasps, swamp monsters, fireflies, beetles, snails, giant humanoid flies, webfoot lizards, diles, and even a few boombooms. It makes me wonder how she got all these monsters working together. (Well, she IS a queen after all, I guess...)

Anyway, It was quite chaotic. It took us a while to get rid of her lackeys until Vella surrendered, and fell to the ground, out of energy. Her minions then flew her out to safety. We did it! Ceaz was also happy as he was able to collect all these marvelous snail shells he found. As he was picking up some spoils in the area, I noticed something Ebbie. Something... or someone was watching us then.

I looked around the area cautiously, and tried to look for that 'presence'. I'm not really sure of what I saw, but the only glimpse I found was a floating figure, curvaceous, womanly, had black garments, and if my pervert's eyes do not fail me, a black thong.

I blushed for a second when I saw that thong. When I blinked, all I saw was a trail of black smoke, left behind by that womanly figure.

Now what could that have been? I'm not so sure of what I saw. Was that the fabled witch named Paris, like in Arcanist Pablo's stories? A chill was sent up my spine, just thinking about it. Then again, when I thought about that thong I warmed up. It was an unsettling yet titillating feeling.

You're headed for the swamps now Ebbie? I ask that you take care. Watch out for crocodiles, especially for a big, angry one named Protoscous, he hates us Dragonians with a passion. Oh, and if you come across any Fungoid merchants, patronize 'em, they sell pretty good stuff!

Stay safe, watch out for snails.

Prawnt

Rioting At Libra

To My Dearest Ebbie,

Have you heard about the recent rioting that occurred in Libra? I advise you to stay clear of Libra in the following days. Most Dragonians would usually fight monsters, but it really is unsightly to see us Dragonians fighting amongst ourselves, especially when the awakening of Elga is at hand. Apparently it all started as a small argument at the market place over some mercenaries and Dragon Expedition-affiliated groups. The argument eventually evolved into a full-scale riot, thanks to some drunken adventurers "adding fire to the flame".

The riot almost devastated the marketplace, overwhelming the town guards who tried to subdue them. They tipped over trade caravans and destroyed public property like benches and lamp posts. Eventually us Paladins were summoned by Commander Hoffman to suit up into riot gear. The riot task force is called S.W.E.A.T. (Special Warrior Engagement Anti-Riot Team) , and we were instructed not to hurt anyone, just quell the force through non-lethal means. We were only armed with a huge shield to push back the rioters.

The rioters tried to fend us off with their weapons and magic, but it was no use as we were able to resist all of their attacks, until our squad leader threw a sleep grenade to pacify the rioters and capture them. We were able to arrest a total of 157 people, with several charges made against them. Total damages done to the place would estimate to as much as 9,500 gold pieces.

I then found out that the root of the argument was the salaries between Dragon Expediters and mercenaries, with the mercenaries saying that their pay wasn't as high as the expediters. Those drunks provoked the two heated parties and eventually an unstoppable chain reaction occurred. Even some sophisticated mages got caught up in the riot and were arrested!

Stay safe Ebbie, and steer clear of Libra for the meantime.

A Possible Uniform

Dear Ms. Ebbie,

Hi there Ebbie, this is Sieg, Prawnt's guild master from the Newtypes Coalition of Free Fighters. If you could tell me why Prawnt hasn't shown up at our headquarters yet, it would really be a great help for us. Anyway, let me tell you something. Though we've been disbanded, I was thinking of putting the guild back together again with a twist. So I have decided that our guild should have uniforms!

Whether they be a warrior, thief, mage or archer, they will have to wear a specific uniform. It was really hard thinking up of what everyone should wear. People have always regarded my tastes as flamboyant or simply extravagant, but nevertheless, I know what people want to wear~. Haha! I haven't thought up of anything nice for the ladies to wear but for the men! Oh my~ I could already envision it in my mind that we'd be wearing the same outfit in battle~!

So I tried rounding up all the male guildies I could get in touch with, but only your handsome brother Prawnt came. Your dear brother was compassionate enough to test run my little outfit~! It cost a bit of cash, but the designer has taste, magnifique, I must say! We were actually together in the same room, just the two of us, heehee! It was a pity my girlfriend Mynthe couldn't make it for this little test run, though she was the one who picked the outfit! (I could also swear someone was watching us from the shadows...)

Anyway, it took a bit of time and persuasion (almost two hours, new record!) to get him to wear it, but here it is! The kreme de la kreme~

Voila~! Don't you think that outfit looks faaaaaabulous? He only wore it for like, ten seconds though. But that really got me going to have more ordered for all the guys~. All those open bare chests, I'd be filled with bliss~ haha! I tried to persuade him to strut it around town, but he kept making up this excuse that he still had other plans and stuff. I just told him to come back to do it another day and he agreed. I haven't heard from him since.

Please reply, my dear Ebbie. You simply must tell me where your fabulous brother is hiding right now. If you tell me, I'll make sure you get a faaabulous outfit too, I could almost die seeing all the girls in those fabulous outfits I have in mind, heehee~!

So here's hoping for your reply, my dear Ebbie~!

With regards~,
Sieg

P.S. Prawnt goes well together with Ceaz right? OH MY GOSH you should write to me about that too~! Anyway, tata~!
