And I Thought Fairies Were Friendly...

To My Dearest Ebbie,

After our little stay here at Frigid Canyon, I met up with some of my guildies after I was relieved of my post. They told me they were on the hunt for the Fairy Queen Arca who apparently has a huge bounty on her head. Siren Woods was near Camp Steven, so I was thinking of going to Camp Steven after this Arca hunt. We went deep into the freezing woods, as well as encountering many enemies like a large Yeti and a patrol of fairies. However, there was one fairy we came across that did not attack us, and she appeared to be injured.

The poor fairy told us her story about the fairy queen, Arca. Some evil force has taken over their queen and all her fellow fairies have been driven mad as well. Even their neighbours, the dwarves have also gone mad. She told us to defeat the fairy queen to find out more about what really happened, so my guildies and I went to investigate. This area was beyond my league. the monsters were tough and clever, and my usual tactics wouldn't hit as much as it used to. Fortunately, my guildies were strong enough to cleave through enemy mobs along the way.

It wasn't long until we encountered the Fairy Queen Arca, though I think it may be one of many impostors created by dark magic. There have been many theories about her origin, one was about a dragon's tear that fell from the sky to create her out of a flower, and another theory was that she was a spoiled little girl who wished to become the queen of fairies. Either way, we still had to defeat this fairy.

I couldn't hit Arca at all so I left all the hitting to my guildies. I supported them using my time magic, as well as clearing her reinforcements that spawned. Arca was terribly strong. Yes Ebbie, I'd advise you to be careful even if you've successfully forged your Spine of Lavalon weapon. She can ensnare you in some thorns and attack you with her flower magic from afar. If you're not careful, you might die in a instant. Luckily, with our combined effort, we were able to defeat her, and I was able to deliver the finishing blow, being the heroic knight that I am.

When she lay defeated, she used her last ounce of strength to escape from us. I didn't find anything of value form that battle, but at least I now know how the fairy queen would attack. As I'm writing this letter, I've finally reached Camp Steven, the Expedition's main base of operations near the Drakos tower. You could always purchase a scroll to Camp Steven, but I advise that you travel the traditional way. Walk. It's healthy, and you'll get to meet a lot of interesting things along the way.

Stay safe Ebbie, watch out for the fairies!

The Doraemon Guild

To My Dearest Ebbie,

Funny story actually, I was somewhere in the Smoldering Swamps until I came across this big crowd. It wasn't a riot or anything, apparently all these people have been duped into thinking that there were some monsters wreaking havoc in the area, and they were dispatched by their respective guild leaders to investigate. Most of them were disappointed, while others just shrugged it off. Many believed that this was just another prank.

After getting out of that mess, I found out that many people were recruiting new guild members back in Libra, thanks to the many people I spotted in that crowd bearing cool emblems. I guess this was the time to look for another guild, as Joker is already doing well with his troupe as we speak. Many of these guilds even had recruitment booths where they handed out fliers and gave their mission-vision statements and other organization-related stuff.

My decision came down to three guilds. There was The Hakuron, The Apostate, and the Doraemons. I received personal invitations from these guilds but I really couldn't decide where to go. After writing a farewell note to Joker, I decided to think it over a basket of freshly-cooked, juicy tempura. Eventually, I went with the decision to go for the Doraemons. They seemed like a fun bunch. They even have their own snazzy headquarters.

I received a warm welcome from them after filling up my registration form. Lucern is a familiar face since he helped me with my Lavalon quest, as well as other people that I have met in the past. This seemed like a fun guild, I thought. I could already expect a lot of adventures with these people I joined up with. As a Tempura Knight, I shall protect them!

I even went out to test this toy hammer they told me to use. It was great. Although a bit light to hold and made of some artificial material, it did a good job slaying one of those pesky Draculs that have been popping about recently.

I guess this guild's trademark character would be all about chatty fun and the sort. So how's your guild Ebbie? Having fun lately?

Stay safe! Miss you!

From Your Dear Brother,
Prawnt

OOC: Many thanks to the people of Doraemon for their warm welcome!

A Possible Uniform

Dear Ms. Ebbie,

Hi there Ebbie, this is Sieg, Prawnt's guild master from the Newtypes Coalition of Free Fighters. If you could tell me why Prawnt hasn't shown up at our headquarters yet, it would really be a great help for us. Anyway, let me tell you something. Though we've been disbanded, I was thinking of putting the guild back together again with a twist. So I have decided that our guild should have uniforms!

Whether they be a warrior, thief, mage or archer, they will have to wear a specific uniform. It was really hard thinking up of what everyone should wear. People have always regarded my tastes as flamboyant or simply extravagant, but nevertheless, I know what people want to wear~. Haha! I haven't thought up of anything nice for the ladies to wear but for the men! Oh my~ I could already envision it in my mind that we'd be wearing the same outfit in battle~!

So I tried rounding up all the male guildies I could get in touch with, but only your handsome brother Prawnt came. Your dear brother was compassionate enough to test run my little outfit~! It cost a bit of cash, but the designer has taste, magnifique, I must say! We were actually together in the same room, just the two of us, heehee! It was a pity my girlfriend Mynthe couldn't make it for this little test run, though she was the one who picked the outfit! (I could also swear someone was watching us from the shadows...)

Anyway, it took a bit of time and persuasion (almost two hours, new record!) to get him to wear it, but here it is! The kreme de la kreme~

Voila~! Don't you think that outfit looks faaaaaabulous? He only wore it for like, ten seconds though. But that really got me going to have more ordered for all the guys~. All those open bare chests, I'd be filled with bliss~ haha! I tried to persuade him to strut it around town, but he kept making up this excuse that he still had other plans and stuff. I just told him to come back to do it another day and he agreed. I haven't heard from him since.

Please reply, my dear Ebbie. You simply must tell me where your fabulous brother is hiding right now. If you tell me, I'll make sure you get a faaabulous outfit too, I could almost die seeing all the girls in those fabulous outfits I have in mind, heehee~!

So here's hoping for your reply, my dear Ebbie~!

With regards~,
Sieg

P.S. Prawnt goes well together with Ceaz right? OH MY GOSH you should write to me about that too~! Anyway, tata~!

Joining the Circus

To My Dearest Ebbie,

As you may know, these are tough times that we live in. The economy has inflated drastically, the price of souls has skyrocketed, and many businesses have gone bankrupt because of increased incidents of trade robberies among others. That is why many of us knights have been dispatched all over the El Grego continent to keep the peace. You could also find smaller organizations, probably mercenaries, vigilantes, and even neutral private armies around the continent. El Grego is definitely Dragonica's melting pot nowadays.

Recently, the Newtypes guild hasn't been really active in missions, and Guildmaster Sieg decided to temporarily disband us, so that we wouldn't lose money every month due to inactivity. Guildless, I looked around all these recruitment hubs in Libra. Many of them come from all walks of life. From a guild of mages, to warrior-merchants, and even archer-economists. Who knew a single bullet from a Ranger's gatling cannon could cost so much?
A small group caught my eye though. They were performing a few parlor tricks for some spare cash. Trobadours, I think they were called. They were composed of two jesters and a few mages. With the jesters dancing and the mages doing all those fire tricks, I'd say it was pretty impressive even if it were just a handful of people watching them. Four performers? Not much, but it was entertaining at least.

All of a sudden, two men approached one of the jesters, threatening them to leave because it was their vending spot they were performing on. The two of them brandished their swords and guns on the performers. Warrior-merchants, they were. However, they were in a public area, and that gives the performers the right to perform there! I couldn't stand for this injustice so I intervened.

I got into a short fight with the ruffians, they didn't even let me finish my introduction of rank, file and affiliation! These warrior-merchants were cheaters! Using both guns and swords for combat, it does not follow the rules of proper engagement! Nevertheless, they were no match for me and my Tornado Tempura Combo. After knocking them out, I had them sent to jail by the authorities.

I eventually got acquainted with their leader, iQJoker (or just Joker), who dreams that his troupe would become a circus someday. He has been looking for talented people, but hasn't had much luck so far. They were headed for the Heroes' Sanctuaries, looking for a certain relic that gives good luck. With nothing else to do, I accompanied them. The other performers set up camp to rest, while I joined iQJoker on his reconnaissance rounds. The ghost of Captain Artis is still restless, and may strike at any moment in the area.

The two of us scoured the area for any movements. We might run into Artis, or worse, that thing called Usar. Usar is a restless spirit of a prince that was slain during the Dragon War. Looks like he was also under the influence of dark magic, like Artis. We found more statues in a certain area and I found this peculiar sign near one.

Shortly after I bowed, this door appeared nearby and when we entered, Artis was there to welcome us with an army of skeletons. Joker spots the charm on Artis' helm, and we fought the restless ghost. There were tons of skeletons as usual, but they were no match for us. Just annoying, though. Artis was still persistent with his magic spells and spear thrusts. I had to parry all of those spears so that Joker could attack him freely.

When we finally defeated Artis, I examined the helm and found the charm. I then gave it to Joker and he was elated. We then returned to the camp and he showed everyone the charm he found. Joker then offered me to join their troupe as their bouncer. They really needed someone to defend them from any trouble so I accepted his offer. I'm only staying until they become better though. If they grow larger, they will no longer need my services and I will have to find another guild.

Using my bulk, I control crowds that come to watch them perform nowadays. Joker's still hoping people would join his troupe.

Stay safe, and enjoy yourself!

From Your Dear Brother,
Prawnt
